CS:GO 5v5 Competitive Matchmaking
Full team competitive CS:GO with Elo-based matchmaking, map voting, and automated server handoff. The way competitive should work.
How 5v5 Works on Crossfire
- Queue up — Solo or with a party (up to 5 players). The matchmaker finds 10 players at similar Elo ranges.
- Accept the match — All 10 players must accept within the time limit. If someone doesn't accept, you're returned to the queue instantly.
- Vote on a map — 30-second democratic map vote. Both teams vote from the active competitive map pool.
- Connect and play — A dedicated server is automatically configured via RCON. Connect details are provided in the match interface. No manual IP entry needed.
- Elo updates — After the match, your Elo rating updates immediately based on the result and opponent strength.

Fair Matchmaking
Crossfire's matchmaker balances teams based on Elo ratings. When 10 players are found in a similar Elo range, the system creates two teams with the closest possible average Elo. This means you won't face a team 500 points above you — matches are designed to be competitive and close.
When you queue as a party, the system accounts for your group's average Elo. Full five-stacks are matched against opponents at a comparable level, whether they're stacking or solo-queuing.
Map Pool
The 5v5 competitive map pool includes the most popular CS:GO competitive maps. The pool is curated for competitive balance and updated based on community feedback. Before each match, both teams vote on which map to play.
Why Play 5v5 on Crossfire Instead of Valve MM?
- Transparent Elo — See your exact rating, not just a rank icon. Know exactly how much each match matters.
- Better anti-cheat — Crossfire Guard + server-side analysis catches more cheaters faster than VAC alone.
- Faster servers — Dedicated 128-tick servers with low latency for EU players.
- Map choice — Vote on your map instead of accepting whatever the system assigns.
- Community — Smaller, more serious player base means less toxicity and more competitive matches.
Also Available
- Wingman (2v2) — Ranked duo matches with shared Elo (~±80 per match).
- Deathmatch — Free-for-all aim practice, no Elo impact.
